Broadstep Behavioral Health is Hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disability Pro Near Plainfield, IL

Job Description:
The QIDP is responsible for assessing, monitoring, documenting, and ensuring the provision of quality care to people with disabilities and special needs.

Broadstep has been a leader in providing a continuum of physical, emotional, and mental support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), mental illness, and co-occurring disorders for over 45 years.
Broadstep’s Illinois programs provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and other diagnoses that may impact their behaviors. We are a family-friendly, individual-focused behavioral healthcare program of group homes and vocational day programs.

Schedule & Location:
Plainfield, IL
Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify service needs
  • Monitor and document the progress of individuals
  • Advocate for individuals in various settings
  • Provide training and guidance to families in the care of individuals
  • Ensure that all services are provided in a safe and secure environment
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals and families regarding services and resources
  • Participate in professional development activities
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or related field
  • Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Current certification as a QIDP
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding services for individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work with a diverse population
